Dalton and Gayles Village Show

Dalton & Gayles Village Show Saturday 11th August

Dalton and Gayles Village Show is open to residents of Dalton, Newsham, Ravensworth, Whashton, Kirkby Hill, Gayles and Barningham; as well as their relatives and guests. On the day entries are to be displayed between 8a.m. and 10a.m. Judging will be from 10.30a.m. and judges have now been confirmed.

Afternoon events will begin with a BBQ , with licensed bar, at 1p.m. The hall will open at 2p.m. for viewing. Entry to the show will be £1 for adults (which includes afternoon tea), with accompanied children free. Afternoon tea will be at 5p.m., followed by an auction of produce. Between 1p.m. and 5p.m. there will be timetabled activities including children’s races, rounders game(s) open to all, children’s entertainment and the ever popular duck races.

The entry schedule and copies of the entry form have been made available in various places. Hopefully you are busy planning your entries. Extra entry forms will be available from the village notice boards in Dalton and Gayles and can be obtained from Lilian Brooks, Holmedale, Dalton, 01833 621236.

Entries must be received before Tuesday 7th August. Entries to Lilian Brooks, Holmedale, Dalton. 018333 621236. 30p per entry item. No more than one entry per person per category.

ALL PREVIOUS WINNERS TO RETURN TROPHIES/SHIELDS BY 4TH AUGUST TO LILIAN (AS ABOVE) OR ALISON BROOKS, ROSE COTTAGE DALTON 01833 621469.

Donations for afternoon tea will be most gratefully received on the day of the show, either in the Supper Room before 10a.m. or via the hall outer kitchen door after 1p.m.
